Two Officers, Two Civilians Killed in New Brunswick Shooting

Fredericton, New Brunswick – One suspect is in custody after two police officers and two civilians were shot and killed at an apartment complex in Fredericton on Friday Morning, according to the CBC.

Update: Fredericton police advised the suspect is being treated for “serious injuries” related to the Friday morning shooting.

The incident began around 7 am Friday morning when police responded to the report of a shooting. By 9 a.m. police evacuated the apartment complex at 237 Brookside Drive. The area was placed on lockdown and residents were advised to lock their doors and windows.

Details on the circumstances have not yet been released, only that the shooter is in custody. No names have been released, as investigators are still on scene. Police released the lockdown at around 11 a.m. local time, but stated they would still be on scene for some time.
