Sweden – Thief Picks Easy Target, Bad Decision
Stockholm, Sweden – A ‘homeless man’ selling newspapers happened by some ladies who were sunbathing at a Stockholm park. Thinking they were easy targets, he stole one of their cell phones. Big mistake. One of the ladies was a Swedish police officer and champion athlete. She chased him down, and pinned him until on -duty officers arrived – all while she was wearing a bikini.
Ouch.
Mikaela Kellner works for the Stockholm Police. She and her friends gave chase, and Mikaela tackled the suspect. Knee in his back, felony take down style…in a bikini. That photo of her doing her job immediately went viral worldwide. She said it was the first time in her 11 year tenure as a police officer that she had to take down a suspect while wearing one.
“I just acted on instinct and didn’t think about it so much until after we had pinned him down. When I sat there, I looked over at our other two friends who are not police officers and realized that it probably looked pretty funny. But I would have stepped in no matter my outfit.” Mikaela Kellner
But she’s not just a pretty face. She’s a power lifter, Crossfit champion, participant in Swedish Ninja events, as well as a personal trainer. She also took first prize in the World Police and Fire Games in 2015.
Her bikini take down coined the hashtags #bikinicop and #bikinipolisen, among others.
David Klinger, another participant in the World Police and Fire Games, posted this on her Facebook page:
She is pretty badass haha – I saw her do 32 dead-hang pull-ups, climb a 25ft rope using arms only in like 8 seconds etc. And yeah that’s my event – although I’m nowhere near her level. It’s 8 events in 8 hours: 5K cc run. 100m dash, 100m swim, shotput, arms only rope climb, bench press, pull-ups with a killer obstacle course to finish.
All in all, yes, she’s pretty AND badass.
