Russia, China, Warn Biden to “Stay Out” of Their Actions in Crimea, Taiwan.

Both Russia and China warn Biden to stay out of their business – and both actually said that on the same day. The Russian buildup in Crimea prompted the US to send two ships to the Black Sea. The ongoing Chinese bombers flying over Taiwan airspace has concerned the US, and US ships have been transiting the Taiwan Strait in response.

Russia claims their buildup is a military exercise that will be over in about 2 weeks. China wants Taiwan back, period, and claims the small nation is a sovereignty issue. However, in both cases, the increased actions of both are likely not a joke. So they warn Biden against military responses.

On Tuesday, Russia’s Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov warned President Joe Biden’s administration against getting involved in Ukraine, amid Russian forces massing on the Ukrainian border. Also on Tuesday, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Zhao Lijian warned the Biden administration against getting involved in Taiwan.

According to Reuters, Russia’s Ryabkov said “The United States is our adversary and does everything it can to undermine Russia’s position on the world stage. We do not see any other elements in their approach. Those are our conclusions.”

Ryabkov went on to say, “We warn the United States that it will be better for them to stay far away from Crimea and our Black Sea coast. It will be for their own good.”

On the same day Ryabkov warned the U.S. and other NATO nations against supporting Ukraine, China’s Zhao warned the U.S. against “playing with fire” by interacting with Taiwan.

“The Taiwan question concerns China’s sovereignty, territorial integrity and core interests. There is zero room for compromise and not an inch to give,” Zhao said during a Tuesday press conference. “We urge the U.S. side to grasp the situation, earnestly abide by the one-China principle and the three China-US joint communiqués, refrain from playing with fire, immediately stop official contact with Taiwan in any form, prudently and properly handle Taiwan-related issues, and avoid sending any wrong signals to the ‘Taiwan independence’ forces, lest it should shake the foundation of China-US relations and peace and stability across the Taiwan Strait.”

‘Stay away, it’s for your own good’ both countries warn Biden. Will Biden step back from both, one, or embroil us in a war? NATO has already stated their support for the Ukraine is unshakeable. In spite of the “one China policy,” the US has agreements with Taiwan for provision of weapons for defense. Biden actually called Putin on Tuesday and asked for a meeting.

Russia has claimed that their forces are doing it because of the threat from NATO and the US buildup.

Amid the recent tensions, the United States notified Turkey that two U.S. warships would sail to the Black Sea on April 14 and April 15 and stay there until May 4 and May 5. The U.S. Navy ships have made regular visits to the Black Sea in past years, vexing Moscow.

Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov denounced the latest deployment as “openly provocative,” adding that “American ships have absolutely nothing to do near our shores.”

“They are testing our strength and playing on our nerves,” Ryabkov said in remarks carried by Russian news agencies. “Seeing itself as the Queen of the Seas, the U.S. should realize that the risks of various incidents are very high. We warn the U.S. that it should stay away from Crimea and our Black Sea coast for their own benefit.”

Choosing to warn Biden about intervention in Taiwan or Crimea simply increases tensions across the board. Especially with a guy who has trouble remembering the name of his own Secretary of Defense.
