NYC Crime Wave

nyc crime wave

The NYC crime wave is becoming a crisis in the Big Apple. After De Blasio knocked several million from the Police budget, released numerous criminals back on the street, crime has skyrocketed. NYPD members have quit the department in droves. This last weekend, a probable gang hit in Queens near a laundromat left 10 people shot, seven of whom were innocent bystanders. A party nearby with 3 known members of the Trinitario gang was the probable target.

This was a brazen, coordinated attack, for lack of a better word… There’s just one common theme, I want to get out there, that’s a recurring theme that keeps happening, and it has to stop throughout the city. That’s gang members; that’s guns, multiple guns on the scene, scooters being used, masks; and lastly, unintended targets getting hit. This is unacceptable on our streets in New York City, and it has to stop.

NYPD Chief of Detectives James Essig

Some Twitter users were mad about the scooters being used. Others were mad about the guns. All of them missed the point. Gangs and guns – they don’t get their guns legally. And without police, they have free reign.

Saturday, 11 p.m., part of the NYC crime wave

Police recovered at least 40 shell casings after two men walked up to a crowd of people and opened fire near a local laundromat. Two more men on mopeds picked them up and sped away. They were reportedly targeting three known members of the Trinitario gang, and 7 innocent bystanders got shot. The most serious wound was someone shot in the stomach.

If you thought a mass shooting was bad, you should hear the politicians. try to decry it:

”Trust me when I tell you, if you allow gangs to get footholds in this city, we have a real problem. This is a crisis.”

Eric Adams, Candidate for NYC mayor

Newsflash, Adams, gangs have had a foothold in NYC for decades in spite of rigid gun control. Then there’s the more recent defunding of the police issue. Crime does not go down when police are defunded. It doesn’t make neighborhoods safer from the big bad cops. It does give gangs and other criminals license to go on a huge NYC crime wave.

On Saturday, three bystanders were shot during an altercation in Manhattan.

Then on Sunday in Manhattan, a victim was shot in the thigh even after he gave the robber what he wanted. (Fox)

There are some huge lessons in these incidents, but the left will not heed them. They have an agenda to push.
