Waco, Texas police pulled over a 1998 Toyota Monday night for a traffic violation. As can often occur, a traffic stop becomes much more.
Driver Gabriel Garcia, 30, had 2.7 grams of methamphetamine under his seat, and passenger Ashley Castaneda, 31, had 29.5 grams in her purse. Both were arrested for drug possession. The incident occurred near Waco’s West Elementary School in a defined ‘Drug and Gun Free Zone.’
Following normal procedure, each was searched and handcuffed before being placed in a squad car for transport to jail. It was during this transport that Castaneda decides to share a bit of information with the transporting police officer.
Seems the ‘routine’ search at the scene wasn’t quite thorough enough. Castaneda confessed she was carrying a gun in her vagina.
Officers immediately pulled over, called for a female officer to conduct a ‘thorough’ search. Voila’! Like a bad Vegas magic act, the soon to be jailbird ‘birthed’ a Smith & Wesson Model 61 Escort handgun.
The Escort is a .22 long rifle caliber compact semi-automatic handgun. First produced in 1970, the Escort has a 5 round magazine. The Escort ‘birthed’ by Castaneda carried 6 rounds, 5 in the magazine plus one in the chamber.
According to police Castaneda confessed to having the ‘concealed’ weapon because she was worried about it going off inside her. The Escort is equipped with a trigger safety. Police reports do not indicate whether or not the safety was activated.
Waco Police Sergeant Patrick Swanton said,
“It is conceivable that the gun could have gone off inside our suspect and that would have been deadly because of the proximity to internal organs.”
Gives a whole new meaning to being ‘Fired up!’
Strange but not uncommon
Women have been using their ‘special place’ to transport or carry things concealed for many years. Border and Customs Agents regularly arrest women transporting drugs in their vaginas.
The vagina is a strong, pliable and for some, a useful tool. Kim Anami is a sex expert that teaches what she calls ‘vaginal kung fu’. Anami regularly tags instagram photos with #thingsiliftwithmyvagina, demonstrating her unique abilities and genuinely impressive vaginal muscles.
For Anami a concealed gun may be a piece of cake, or more appropriately ‘easy as pie’. For others, not so much. But it does happen.
In April 2014, Tennessee teenager Dallas Archer (19) was arrested for driving with a suspended license. During the cavity search before being booked into jail, female officer removed a North American .22LR revolver from Archer’s vagina.
The weapon had been stolen from 70 year old John Souther’s car. When informed his weapon had been found, and where, Mr. Souther said he’d like to have his little gun back, but it would need a ‘bath in bleach.’
Insult to Injury
Garcia and Castaneda were both charged with possession of a controlled substance in a drug free zone. But a second charge was filed against Castaneda for unlawfully carrying a concealed weapon. Garcia had bond set at $10,000, while Castaneda bond was set at $31,000.00.
Seems about right. Every man knows ‘that’ always has a premium price.
