Newsom Signed Laws Designed to Decimate The Firearms Industry

California Governor Gavin Newsom signed into law bills that could decimate the firearms industry in his state. How did he do that? By signing several more gun laws on Thursday, and SB 8 on Friday. SB 8 and some of the others will garner lawsuits, but the Democrats say they’re prepared for that.

SB 8 allows citizens to sue anyone who manufactures, sells, transports or distributes illegal ‘assault weapons and ghost guns,’ or who sells any such weapon to someone under 21. It awards 10,000 per gun plus attorney fees to persons who sue. Newsom and his lawless Democrat buddies could care less about the PLCAA (Protection of Lawful Commerce Act), and that goes for the Biden administration as well.

Newsom signed bills which could destroy all sorts of firearms businesses. Newsom called for a firearms law modeled after the anti-abortion Texas heartbeat law after a court challenge allowed it to go forward. SB 8 was the result.

“It is obvious that this is a retaliation against lawful gun owners and the court because of the Texas decision. There’s a full expectation that the firearms industry will have a very strong reaction towards the signing of this bill. They are really, really trying to be nothing but vindictive against lawful people in the firearms industry. All of our attorneys are in the process of evaluating what we are going to do on this thing.”

Newsom signed eight other gun control measures.

Some of the laws Newsom signed include a 10-year ban on gun possession for those convicted of child abuse or elder abuse. Another requires schools to periodically inform parents of the safe storage firearms. One bars people from making more than 3 firearms per year, or “making any guns with a 3D printer without obtaining a state-issued license.” Firearms sales are now illegal on state property. Dealers cannot charge more than 5% fees over purchase price of the gun, and dealers are now subjected to more frequent monitoring. The Firearms Industry Responsibility Act (AB 1594) requires firearms dealers to block purchases by anyone “at risk of breaking the law.” (We’ll just call that one the gun-dealers- must-exercise-Extra-Sensory-Perception-Act). Some of these may not stand up to Constitutional scrutiny.

California’s strict gun laws just got tougher. Gun makers and dealers in the state will be required to block firearms sales to anyone at risk of breaking the law. It’s part of a slew of new gun control laws signed by Gov. Gavin Newsom.

This week, Newsom signed Assembly Bill 1594 which creates a standard of conduct within the firearms industry. It is also known as the Firearm Responsibility Act which was signed to “protect public health and safety” in California by “promoting safe and responsible firearm industry member practices.” The standard would also hold firearm industry members accountable if they are found responsible for breaking the law, or “wrongful conduct” that endangers the public.

Newsom claims that all of thse gun contorl bills will make California “safer.” He’s also been plitickig in Texas ad Florida, as if somehow he’ll run for President…claiming that “freedom is under attack” in Florida. What planet he’s from is unknown. In point of fact, freedom is under attack in California from the bills Newsom signed.
