At 8:13 a.m. Saturday, the Hoover 911 center received a call of a person down at a residence on Scout Trace. Hoover police and fire personnel arrived to find the 45-year-old Sign dead. Hoover police Lt. Keith Czeskleba said the death is being investigated as a suicide…

While a reporter and morning anchor at ABC affiliate KNXV-TV in Phoenix, Sign broke the story of the June 2016 secret tarmac meeting between former President Bill Clinton and then-Attorney General Loretta Lynch.

The News Anchor was a former football player for the Crimson Tide, married, and a father of three sons. He was an award-winning journalist, having received everything from an Emmy to an Edward R. Murrow award for his reporting of various news. But it’s the Clinton-Lynch meeting that caused him to receive death threats and spurred him to write the book.

“We knew something had occurred that was a bit unusual. It was a planned meeting. It was not a coincidence… “Secret on the Tarmac” details everything that they don’t want you to know and everything they think you forgot, but Bill Clinton was on that plane for 20 minutes and it wasn’t just about golf, grandkids, and Brexit. There’s so much that doesn’t add up.”

He said that his source who was there outlined that when Clinton arrived at the airport, he was waiting for Lynch.

“He then sat and waited in his car with the motorcade, her airstairs come down, most of her staff gets off, he then gets on as the Secret Service and FBI are figuring out ‘How in the world are we supposed to handle this? What are we supposed to do?’” Sign said.

According to the Fox news report, Clinton was “offended” that Sign reported on the meeting. But the news anchor pursued more information and garnered enough to research his book.

“As journalists, you have to ask yourself, why are people not delving into this? Why are we not looking into what exactly happened? This story isn’t about right or left, Republican or Democrat, it’s about right and wrong and journalism.”

From death threats after breaking the story to people hacking his credit cards, Sign had difficulties resulting from his work.

“My family received significant death threats shortly after breaking this story. Credit cards hacked. You know, my children, we have code words. We have secret code words that they know what to do.”

The sad fact is that too many of those who opposed the Clintons for whatever reason committed “suicide” or those like Seth Rich were murdered under strange circumstances. It has become a macabre joke across the political spectrum. News anchor Christopher Sign deigned to seek out answers. Now he’s dead and the death is being investigated as a suicide. It may have nothing whatever to do with the Clintons, or even another story he might have been pursuing. But it is curious.
