New Black Panther ‘Minister’ Advocates “Nation Within a Nation”

By Faye Higbee

In an article on Breitbart, a New Black Panther ‘minister’ claims 5 Southern States, and advocates blacks to move into those states . They say that moving blacks into those states will cause the white folks to leave anyway, so they can have a black “nation within a nation.”

In an interview on Aaron Klein Investigative Radio on Sunday night, The NBPP’s “National Minister of Defense,” Babu Omawale, said that they were “claiming” the states of Louisiana, Alabama, Georgia, South Carolina, and Mississippi.

“We just need to start migrating back to those states and taking control of the economics in those states. If black people move in, most definitely white people will move out. So it’s not a hard process for us to have our own country within a country.”  Babu Omawale

For now, Omawale is aware that they can’t separate themselves from the rest of the nation. But the attitude of  “you owe me” runs deep.

“We know that we are owed land, we are owed monies, we are owed restitutions and we are owed reparations. That’s going to be a continuing process. What we are saying right now is we want to control the economics in our community. We want to control the black dollars. The money that goes in, the money that goes out.”

Omawale is the co-founder of the Huey P Newton Gun Club, which advocates the eventual formation of a “regimented black army.” The New Black Panthers have advocated violence against police officers around the nation, and have often referred to police departments as “pig departments.”

Their current National Chairman is Hashim Nzinga. He posted that his place is to help his group of “Afrocentric brothers and sisters” to have “ideological clarity on their culture.” The New Black Panthers are far more militant than their former namesakes.

“We want freedom. We want the power to practice self-determination, and to determine the destiny of our community and THE BLACK NATION.” Omawale
