Navy Pilot Draws Male Genitalia in the Sky. Navy’s not Laughing

By Faye Higbee

At least one US Navy pilot is in a whale of a lot of trouble after “painting” a giant-sized penis in the sky above Omak, Washington on Okanogan County on November 16. The Navy had absolutely no sense of humor at all.

“The Navy holds its aircrew to the highest standards and we find this absolutely unacceptable, of zero training value and we are holding the crew accountable.” Whidbey Island Naval Station statement

The Navy Times noted that the sky-drawing was done by a member of the Whidbey Island Naval base.

The penile depiction was done by a EA-18G Growler with Electronic Attack Squadron 130, also known as “The Zappers.”

A concerned mother who spotted the phallic renderings told KREM 2 she was upset she might have to explain the drawings to her kids.

Locals also posted images of the atmospheric penis to social media.

She could have just told the kid it was a hat.

Twitter responses:

Anahi Torres posted the pilot’s “artwork” on Twitter, where numerous news media picked it up.

The comments seemed to go on forever. Most people thought it was hilarious, many thought it was Hoss Cartwright’s cowboy hat. Or Dr. Seuss. This person has a great point, since the military is short of pilots:

The Navy says they have launched an investigation. Of course they did. Some ninny complained. How about lightening up for a minute?
