Liz Cheney: Censured in Wyoming, Recall Petition Launched, Now a Competitor

By Faye Higbee

Play stupid games, win stupid prizes as they say. Liz Cheney, the number 3 Republican in the House, stepped in it big time when she voted for impeachment. Her vote initiated a chain of events that may one day cost her the power role in Congress she’s had up until now. And that is a good thing.

Patriotic Americans are feeling a lack of power right now. But in these cases, locally there is more power to grassroots actions than you might think. When Liz Cheney voted for impeachment, she did not vote the way Wyoming Republicans wanted. She took it upon herself to stand with Democrats. The Wyoming GOP didn’t like it, so they initiated three things:

Censure by the Carbon County Wyoming GOP: The Carbon County GOP (her district) voted to censure her for stepping outide the wishes of her constituents.

“Representative Cheney has violated the trust of her voters, failed to faithfully represent a very large majority of motivated Wyoming voters, and neglected her duty to represent the party and the will of the people who elected her to represent them.”

She attempted to justify the vote by calling the Jan 6 riot as an “insurrection.” It was not that, and any sane person listening to Trump’s speech that day knowing the riot was preplanned, would have seen it. But…she often exhibited anti-Trump hatred, just like her Democrat colleagues.

Sources close to the matter have said Reps. Lee Zeldin (R-N.Y.) and Elise Stefanik (R-N.Y.) are being looked at to replace Cheney as House Republican Conference chair.

Recall petition – a recall petition was launched to attempt to remove Liz Cheney from office entirely. As of this writing it has 38,000 sigtures and rising.

Liz Cheney does not speak for the people of Wyoming we have had enough of these swamp people this petition might not do much but maybe it will tell her we will not sit by and take it anymore

Competition: And finally, there is the matter of being primaried. Wyoming state Senator Anthony Bouchard has filed papers as a candidate for her seat. He is in his second term as a WY State Senator.

“Wyoming was President Trump’s best state both times he ran. That’s because Wyoming voters are strong conservatives who want our leaders to stand up for America, defend our freedoms, fight for our way of life and always put working people first as President Trump did… Liz Cheney’s long-time opposition to President Trump and her most recent vote for Impeachment shows just how out-of-touch she is with Wyoming. Wyoming taxpayers need a voice in Congress who will stand up to Nancy Pelosi and the Democrats, and not give them cover. That’s why I’m running for Congress.”

So there you have it, America. There is power in unity, particularly at the grassroots level. Whether or not they can unseat Liz Cheney will depend on their drive forward and organizational skills. It can be done, just like it can be done in the rest of the nation’s screwed up seats of power. Let’s get a new party, and drive the swamp rats out of power. Who’s with me?
