Japan Knife Attack – 19 Dead, 45 Wounded

A 26 year old man was arrested by police in Japan after he went on a stabbing rampage at a home for the disabled in the city of Sagamihara. He is reportedly a former employee of the facility, according to the Mirror UK.

Locals said they saw a man dressed in black and holding a knife in the Tsukui Yamayuri Garden. After the carnage, he fled the facility, but a half an hour later turned himself in.

Police received the call just after 2:30 a.m., and flooded the area, searching for the perpetrator.

The facility houses the disabled, many of whom are bed-ridden. They would have made sitting ducks for anyone who wanted to harm them.

The Tokyo Subway Attack in March f 1995 killed 12 people and injured many more. This incident has already surpassed that number.
