Jane Fonda Aka Hanoi Jane – Leftist to the Core

By Faye Higbee

In 1972, Jane Fonda went to North Vietnam on an unsanctioned trip, which caused her to be widely thought of as a traitor to the US by military and others. Her two week trip and her radio broadcasts that were meant to shame American troops earned her the nickname “Hanoi Jane.” She still claims that she is not proud of America, and proves it by her radical left wing activities.

The anti-war, anti-American trip that caused her nickname

Rumors surfaced that she had taken messages given to her by POWs and gave them back to their North Vietnamese captors.  Although that was never proven, the general idea still remains: she didn’t go there to help the POWs, she went there as an anti-war activist to complain about America in front of the enemy. She even begged American pilots not to shoot at enemy soldiers. It’s a situation that has not endeared her to any of us.

TIME wrote,

While in Vietnam, Fonda appeared on 10 radio programs to speak out against the U.S. military’s policy in Vietnam and beg pilots to cease bombing non-military targets. It was during that trip that a photograph was taken of her seated on an anti-aircraft gun in Hanoi, making it look like she would shoot down American planes.

At the time, Fonda’s public criticisms of U.S. leadership caused massive outrage among American officials and war veterans. According to the Washington Post, some lawmakers saw her protests as treasonous, and the Veterans of Foreign Wars called for Fonda to be tried as a traitor. At one point, the Maryland state legislature considered banning her and her films from the state.

Does she regret her Vietnam trip? No. But she says she does regret that photograph.

“Whenever possible I try to sit down with vets and talk with them, because I understand and it makes me sad. It hurts me and it will to my grave that I made a huge, huge mistake that made a lot of people think I was against the soldiers.” Jane Fonda

Of course, that statement is disingenuous. She went there and let herself be used spread anti-American propaganda that favored the enemy. The troops she claims to not be against in general hate her. The picture taken was only a tiny portion of the reason why.

Now- still at it

Today, Fonda still advances every radical idea she can, from feminism to  truly hating President Trump. But as usual, the leftist narrative is not totally truthful.

Planned Parenthood’s main – MAIN- activity is abortion. It’s not a woman’s body, there is a baby involved too. Literally millions of children have never been given the chance at life because of Planned Parenthood.

That is the usual stand with the protesters statement she has always done. Blocking good jobs for others while she makes millions a year in leftist Hollywood.

Fonda always claims to be standing up for the downtrodden, while actually doing nothing helpful except pushing for the division of America. Nobody is causing harm to anyone’s health or rights- abortion is not a right enumerated in the Constitution, in fact it is antithetical to the rights listed (the right to life).

Point is, she has never stopped being what she was in the 1970s: anti-war, anti-American. When will she move from the country she apparently hates? She won’t — she makes too much money here and is a typical ungrateful, unthankful liberal.
