Walorski, Zachary Potts with the St. Joseph County Republican Party, and Walorski's comm. director Emma Thompson all passed away.
Politics aside… Jackie, Zach and Emma *Thomson were always so kind to me and easy to work with, despite their busy schedules. My stomach is sick for all of their — as well as Edith's — family, friends and loved ones.— Erica Finke WSBT (@EricaFinkeTV) August 3, 2022

Walorski was considered a strong Conservative who loved her constituents. She was not a household name because her persona was one of humility while serving her constituents. That’s a rarity in the DC swamp.
A former Indiana state lawmaker, Walorski was first elected to Congress in 2012 and was running for her sixth term this fall. She was well-liked by her Republican and Democratic colleagues in the House, where she was close to McCarthy and his leadership team.
McCarthy named her the top Republican on the House Ethics Committee, and she was set to be chairman of the bipartisan committee if Republicans won the majority in November.NBC
All of Indiana mourns her passing, along with the tragic deaths of her staff Emma Thomson and Zach Potts. Please join me in praying for their families in this difficult time.— Senator Todd Young (@SenToddYoung) August 3, 2022
The ability to get along with people who strongly disagree with you is a gift. Even Democrat Tammy Duckworth said that she always listened, even though they rarely voted the same. Accolades and tributes poured in from both sides of the aisle.
Horrific news. Rep. Jackie Walorski was always willing to listen to my perspective even if we don’t always vote the same way. Rest In Peace, my friend.Tammy Duckworth, D-Illinois
Rest in peace, Jackie Walorski and all involved.
