Hours after a 3rd man was arrested in Boston for plotting to kill Pamela Geller, an account associated with a jihadist “kingpin” tweeted her private New York address and urged followers to #GoForth and kill her.
The ISIS threat
The Twitter account belonged to Abu Hussain Al-Britani (means he’s from Britain), who is believed to be a high level hacker and propagandist for ISIS. Though the account has been suspended, the damage was done as her personal address was released to thousands across the net.
Britani uses different accounts- when one is suspended, he simply starts another one.
Ms. Geller, a blogger and activist, is the organizer of the Texas Draw Muhammad contest in May that was targeted by two pro-ISIS followers who were killed. She is the head of the American Freedom Defense Initiative…and a target of death threats. She has stated that she must travel with bodyguards wherever she goes because of those threats. And those bodyguards are expensive.
The next free speech event
A man from Rochester, New Hampshire plans to hold another Draw Muhammad contest later this year in spite of the danger.
“I’m not worried about taking a risk. It’s more important to defend our way of life in this country, our constitutional rights, for everybody.” Jerry DeLemus
The International Business Times wrote,
“In spite of that shooting, a man in New Hampshire was planning another “draw Muhammad” event, according to Seacoast Online. Jerry DeLemus, a resident of Rochester, New Hampshire, plans to hold the contest in spite of the shooting. The event is expected to take place later this year.”
The fight for free speech- against all odds
Nicholas Rovinski of Rhode Island, is the 3rd man arrested in the Boston plot to kill Ms. Geller. Usaama Rahim was killed by police, and David Wright arrested soon after for conspiracy. It is believed that Rahim had plans to behead her. Fox News reported that Rovinski’s accounts all showed ties to radical Islamist material.
So many patriots know that to stand up against political correctness is to incur the ire of anyone who does not agree. And if it were as simple as a “disagreement,” our society would move forward with dignity. But the opponents of free speech want their way and nothing else. When intimidation and death threats are what the enemy uses to destroy the freedom of speech…we are all in trouble. And THAT is the root of the issue.
“We have no other alternative than independence, or the most ignominious and appalling servitude. The legions of our enemies thicken on our plains; desolation and death mark their bloody career; whilst the mangled corpses of our countrymen seem to cry out to us as a Voice from Heaven.” Samuel Adams
