Greg Anderson is a Washington police officer in the Port of Seattle Department. At least until they fire him for “insubordination.” He made a video – in uniform – from inside his police vehicle that spoke to literally millions of police officers who have been enforcing tyrannical orders in violation of people’s Constitutional rights. He’s paying a price for it… but he understands that message is more important than his personal situation.
Washington Police Officer in the crosshairs
Greg is no run-of-the-mill officer. From 1999 to 2003, he was a member of the 2nd Ranger Battalion based out of Joint Base Lewis-McChord. He worked for the State Department from 2004-2005 in Ramadi. He currently owns the Electric North Jiu-Jitsu Academy. He worked for the U.S. Marshals in Los Angeles for 5 years before relocating to the Seattle area, where he has been for the last 3 years. And he has strong convictions about the Constitution. Strong convictions that have landed him on administrative leave pending termination.
The video was posted on May 5. On May 6, he received a call from his command that agreed with him and encouraged him onward. Three hours later, when the video shares skyrocketed to 40,000, he received another call from his command asking him to take down the video.
Greg said he chose his words carefully. He chose to be in uniform inside the patrol car so that his words would have impact on his fellow officers. And they have. His video has so far gathered 1.2 million viewsand climbing. His video on Uncle Sam’s Misguided Children has over 1.5 million views and climbing. Thousands and thousands of shares show that Americans are resonating with his message.
He refused to “pull the plug.” The message is important. He spoke directly to officers in his video about the damage caused by enforcing unconstitutional orders, violating their rights, taking away their freedom. He spoke directly to them: “Are you doing what is right?”
Then his command told him that he couldn’t “openly defy the Governor,” or he couldn’t be a Washington police officer. (Guess we know where the order came from). He was told it was violation of “policy.” He was told to take the video down, and his command nearly begged him to do so. He refused. So now he is under internal investigation pending termination for standing for his oath and the rights of the people.
The gut check
Greg Anderson strongly believes that the Constitution supercedes all other laws. He’s right about that. Even the Washington State Constitution’s first Article begins with “All political power is inherent in the people, and governments derive their just powers from the consent of the governed, and are established to protect and maintain individual rights.”
Every police officer and public official must take an oath to defend the Constitution and the Constitution of the State. They don’t give their oaths to the Governor, or a commander, or even the President. They give their oath to the Constitution. All across the state of Washington (and beyond), a ‘health directive’ that claims to be for the ‘good of the people’ has shut down the very rights that the political powers are supposed to “protect and maintain.”
So for the conviction of his heart, Greg Anderson stands to be fired. He told us that people seem to not understand that civil war could happen in the United States. He watched it happen in Iraq. People can turn on each other in the blink of an eye… then “blood will run in the streets.” He wants to prevent it.
“Human beings can go savage quickly.” Greg Anderson
Greg has heard from numerous other departments who are using his video even at their briefings to help officers understand what they are doing. They need a gut check, and Greg’s video will give it to them.
What is the future for Greg?
A friend of his wife started a GoFundMe to help the family at this time. When we first pulled it up early this morning, it stood at $615. As I spoke with Greg on the phone, it had jumped to $50,000. As of this writing, it stands at over $200,000. People are furious that Greg is being fired for his stand against tyrannical government. He has three daughters, (5,8,11) and his wife Jenny.
I asked him if he’d go back to the Port of Seattle Police Department if he isn’t ultimately fired. He would be happy to do that… as long as they don’t try to make him take down the videos. At any rate, he has options. He’s smart, principled and strong. He will not fail in life, and neither will his family. I asked him if he’d received any threats. No was the answer, and by the way, a guy with a black belt who was an Army Ranger is not someone to mess with. His family is in good hands.
Here is the update video that explains what has happened to him since the original.
