Milwaukee, WI – In December of 2013, a cook at George Webb restaurant was shot and killed while attempting to remove an unruly patron. Now, there was at least one worker in the restaurant that was armed at the perfect time. When a patron punched her coworker hard enough to give her a concussion, she pulled out a gun and backed him off. Police know who he is, and are actively looking for him.
The coworker did have a CCW permit, according to police
The incident occurred on June 29, at just after 1:00 a.m. and was captured on surveillance video. The patron apparently was unhappy with his service (he is also reportedly a drug dealer according to tmj4). The woman who was hit with a “full body punch” sustained a concussion. Fortunately, her coworker was armed and ready. As the suspect came after the woman again, the coworker had the gun pointed in his direction immediately. He backed off slowly, and left the kitchen. Apparently he realized she meant business.
The woman who was attacked reportedly has severe injuries and will face “thousands of dollars” in medical bills. The worker with the gun has since quit her job.
“It is sickening to see this unsuspecting worker assaulted so brutally by this individual…One can only imagine what might have occurred if that employee had not pulled out her weapon. Sadly, she quit her job shortly afterward. And can you really blame her for quitting? This is just sickening and I am tired of this crap happening in my district and in too many other neighborhoods across Milwaukee.” Milwaukee Alderman Bob Donovan
