Project Veritas released photos of the FBI Domestic Terrorism Symbols Guide that they received from a whistleblower. The “guide” includes historical symbols including the Gadsden Flag and the Betsy Ross flag, as well as popular symbols often used by several Special Forces veterans. The documents are labelled for Internal Use only, “Law Enforcement Sensitive,” but are not classfied.

Of note, under the “Symbols” section, is a prominent citation of the Second Amendment, where it explains that “MVEs justify their existence with the Second Amendment, due to the mention of a ‘well regulated Militia,’ as well as the right to bear arms.”

Right below that, under the “Commonly Referenced Historical Imagery and Quotes” section, Revolutionary War images such as the Gadsden Flag and the Betsy Ross Flag are listed. Each flag displayed in the document comes with a brief description of what it means.

Under the “Common Phrases and References” section of the leaked document, Ashli Babbitt is cited as a person that MVEs consider to be a Martyr.

The same document also refers to Ruby Ridge, Waco, and even Timothy McVeigh, tying in traditional American ideas and symbols with radical and/or violent events in the past.

Apparently US History is now the target of the FBI, not just the schools. The FBI Domestic Terrorism Symbols Guide means that exhibiting some of these historical symbols could land any of us in the middle of an FBI investigation. The document also includes certain phrases they feel are also part of Militia Violent Extremists- among such statements are “a well-regulated militia” and “the right to bear arms.” Does that mean quoting the Constitution is now forbidden?

It’s one thing to know that there are people who espouse extreme violence in the nation, and quite another to sweep every Conservative who disagrees with the government, or uses historical references under the label of domestic terrorism. Where are the symbols of Antifa and the Marxist BLM in this “guide”, for example? The problem with these broad swipes of tactics is that the FBI can assume from them that you or I are part of a “militia violence extremist” organization…which we are not. The harder they push this narrative and the more people they sweep up in it, the angrier ordinary people will become.

Buckle up, America. This is going to be an incredibly bumpy ride.
