Donald John Trump is now officially the 45th President of the United States of America.Though protesters created havoc with the intent to shut down the inauguration, that did not happen, and the “peaceful transference of power” became a reality in spite of their threats and anarchist actions. President Obama and Michelle were escorted by Donald Trump and Melania to Marine One for the last time and they all waved goodbye. It’s a new day, America.
Literally hundreds of thousands of people attended the Inauguration. The mall was jam-packed. The featured photo is a screenshot taken of the crowd. Periodic chants of “USA USA!”echoed through the event.
Through the 21 gun salute, the swearing in of both VP Mike Pence and the President, the ceremony was everything a patriotic Inauguration should be.
Donald Trump’s speech was exceptional, and even the liberals who were allowed to speak didn’t really ruin the day. The President’s speech, the prayers of the clergy, all were a great encouragement to Christians, who have felt marginalized for 8 years.
A short excerpt from President Trump’s speech:
We see good will with the nations of the world but we do so with the understanding that it is the right of all nations to put their nations first.
We will shine for everyone to follow.
We will reinforce old alliances and form new ones, and untie the world against radical Islamic terrorism which we will eradicate from the face of the earth.
At the bed rock of our politics will be an allegiance to the United States
And we will discover new allegiance to each other. There is no room for prejudice.
The President’s first order of business was to sign the cabinet nominees into their positions. General James Mattis, who was overwhelmingly approved by Congress, was the very first one signed. The rest of the cabinet followed one by one. And so the journey begins.
“When America is united, America is totally unstoppable.” Donald J. Trump, 45th President of the United States
