Could the Pentagon Prevent “Unstable” Trump from Launching Nuclear Strike? Nancy Wants to Know.

By Faye Higbee

In the middle of bipartisan calls for Trump’s removal as President, Nancy Pelosi contacted Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff General Mark Milley on Friday and demanded that the Pentagon prevent an “unstable Trump” from using a nuclear bomb. It’s not that simple, but then, she’s a simpleton anyway.

Pelosi said she spoke to Milley Friday morning “to discuss available precautions for preventing an unstable president from initiating military hostilities or accessing the launch codes and ordering a nuclear strike.”

“The situation of this unhinged president could not be more dangerous, and we must do everything that we can to protect the American people from his unbalanced assault on our country and our democracy.”

The REAL danger would come if this whacked out Trump hater were actually able to prevent him from doing something in case of attack. America is at an incredibly dangerous time – not from Trump, but from the unrest and division. Should one of our enemies decide to attack now, the results would be catastrophic. Pelosi demanding that the Pentagon prevent the President from responding to an attack…that’s the real craziness problem here.

The launching of a nuclear weapon is a “highly deliberative process,” according to a US official. The President has sole discretion over a launch, but it is not as simple as “pushing a button.” When Pelosi initated the phone call, Milley “answered her questions regarding the process of nuclear command authority.”

Pelosi further told her colleagues that if Trump doesn’t step down immediately, on Monday she will set in motion impeachment proceedings. (Again). She is still awaiting a call back from Vice President Pence’s office about pushing forward with the President’s removal from office under the 25th Amendment. If he is impeached, he would be barred from ever running for President again.

Fox News reported that the Vice President is not in favor of a 25th Amendment action. (A 25th amendment action requires the Vice President to sign off on the removal of a sitting President.)

Democrats have found a lever to use, and it was likely a set up, since Capitol Police allowed the crowds inside the Capitol in the first place. It was quickly apparent that they were soon overwhelmed, simply because they planned for a peaceful demonstration, not a crazy one. The Capitol Police Chief resigned after one of his own officers was killed during the chaos.

President Trump is set to leave office anyway on January 20. All of this complete meltdown over 12 days is simply a case of revenge. Trump’s persona has been deeply damaged as numerous aides and cabinet members abandoned him. It’s a huge burden for anyone to bear, let alone a President.
