Calif Primary: “No Party Preference” Voters Not Allowed to Vote Republican

 In Uncategorized

The Calif primary will no longer allow “no party preference” voters to press that button for Republicans in the Presidential Primary next year. (Washington Times). That’s 5.6 million voters.

The Sacramento Bee reported,

The California Secretary of State’s Office announced Monday that three parties will have primaries open to those who listed their political affiliation as “no party preference:” the Democratic Party, the Libertarian Party and the American Independent Party.

The Republican Party, the Green Party and the Peace and Freedom Party require voters to be registered with their party in order to vote in their primaries. They do not allow so-called cross-over voting.

“As we enter the fifth election cycle under the ‘Top Two Primary’ system, California voters have become increasingly accustomed to voting for the candidates of their choice regardless of political party preference,” Secretary of State Alex Padilla said in prepared remarks. “The presidential primary, however, remains the exception. Voters registered as ‘no party preference’ have the option of requesting a ballot that includes presidential candidates of a political party that allows ‘cross-over’ voting.”

Translation: If you are listed as “no party preference” you’ll get a card asking you to choose which party ballot to vote for- but it won’t be Republican. You get to choose only from the three parties that take independents. You will not be able to choose Republican, Green or the Peace and Freedom Party.

In most primary states, the primary elections only involve those who are registered in a specific party. “Cross-over” voting is not allowed.  It’s the way parties narrow down their candidates.

In the California free-for-all primary voting system,  voters up until now have been able to vote for whomever they want regardless of party because all ballots are the same. But the Presidential primary is different- only three parties will still be cross-over friendly.

And that troublesome Calif state law attempting to keep President Trump off the ballot entirely was blocked by a Federal judge, but has yet to be handled by the Supreme Court. So whether or not he will be on the California ballot is still up in the air.

The Cali primary is set for March 3. Mail-in voting begins on Feb 3, and the deadline for ballots to reach Sacramento is March 6.

Just another attempt at cheating by the democrats, for them it’s win at all cost and stuff the law.
This is just another reason to toss all democrats out of office, they are not to be trusted, if they succeed with this then sooner rather than later, they will make sure that they have total control of everything in people’s lives. Big brother is alive and sick In commiefornia.

Remember that in the last federal election the ballot did NOT have the name of a Republican on it for office of state senator ….this is one reason we have two Democrats as state senators. This is an illegal disenfranchisement of declared Republicans and illegal.

Will all the candidates be on the ballot or just the candidates of those parties allowed to vote. If so it is a fraud and the federal government should step in to make sure every candidate running in the 2020 elections is listed, if that cannot happen then California should be completely eliminated from the process and no one gets those delicates.

Think this through folks. The Republican Primary is “Closed” to ONLY Republicans. This is SMART because we don’t want Democrats voting for whomever they consider the weakest Republican candidate would be against their Democrat candidate. This is DUMB for DEMOCRATS because it allows for Republicans, who know that Trump will be their candidate, to temporarily change their voter registration to “no party preference” in order to vote for whomever they think will be the weakest Democrat candidate to face Trump. Let’s assume that Trump will be kept off the CA ballot. In that scenario, why shouldn’t all Republicans temporarily change their voter registration to “no party preference” in order to vote for whomever they think will be the weakest Democrat candidate to face Trump?

Federal regulations should state that if a party or national candidate is not allowed on a ballot, the votes from that state should not be counted in the general election. Can’t vote for a Republican in California…none of California’s or Northern Mexico’s ballots will be tallied.

This is a misleading article as it doesn’t mention that one can temporarily re-register as Republican and then change back after the primary. It is a major FU by the Republican party though as there are now more registered independents than there are Republicans and Democrats combined.

Apparently the CA GOP blocked crossover voting to prevent liberals invading their nominating process. Imagine at GOP Convention having flaming Lefty delegates causing all sorts of trouble.

CA is not in contention in general election, of course–due to demographic invasion and election corruption–so while it will effect some obscure thing called the “popular vote,” it will have zero impact on the authoritative Electoral vote.

I did go to voting site. You must choose one of the following
    American Independent Party
    Democratic Party
    Green Party
    Libertarian Party
    Peace and Freedom Party
    Republican Party
    Other
If you choose other, you will not be able to vote in primaries and some other elections as the US President.
So this interesting that you cannot vote across party lines. You can only vote for a party

But it doesn’t say who decided who could be on the free-for-all ballot. The parties make their own rules about such things. So, in order to prevent malicious mischief, the CA GOP may have made this a party rule.

If you live in CA and want to vote for a republican candidate, just declare to that party and vote that way. It’s a stupid thing for republicans to not allow cross-overs. It should be an all or nothing for parties to allow. The people should be able to vote for an individual not based on party, but on the merits.
