Active shooter training is occurring in Florida mosques – sponsored by CAIR. The Islamic group is also assisting mosques in obtaining grants from the Department of Homeland Security to beef up their security. In particular, the Islamic Center of Sarasota-Bradenton was recently written up by wtsp news for the Active Shooter Training occurring in their center.
Training their reactions
The trainer is Nezar Hamze, a CAIR member who has been training the Florida Islamic community against possible active shooter attacks. He uses two fake blue guns and starts firing them from the back of the prayer room. Usually members freeze momentarily.
“Unfortunately this is exactly what is happening everywhere. People are just not prepared.” Nezar Hamze
Hamze trains them in three basics: Flight- if you can run, do so; hide- if there is a place to hide; and fight as the last resort.
“You need to be thinking about these things. If you choose to fight, you need to realize you are probably sacrificing your life.” Nezar Hamze
Hamze has been asked to do his presentation in two synagogues and a church…which is interesting, considering the Director of CAIR- Florida is Hassan Shibly, who once tweeted that “Israel and its supporters are enemies of God.” It’s also interesting in that the Sheriff of Broward County is Jewish. Diversification?
As we have written before, CAIR is a terrorist-connected organization, an unindicted co-conspirator in a case regarding financing for the terror group Hamas.
Nezar Hamze is a deputy Sheriff in Broward County, Florida. He has been a member of CAIR since 2010, and is reportedly also a member of Islamic Relief. Both CAIR and Islamic Relief are listed by the United Arab Emirates as terrorist organizations.
Hamze also assists the Islamic centers with grants to beef up their security. The addition of security cameras, and other items are also available through grants to religious congregations. Do most large metropolitan churches and synagogues know of the existence of financial aid to upgrade their security systems?
According to the New York Times just after the Charleston attack,
The Department of Homeland Security offers grants to congregations of all faiths in urban areas to bolster security measures under a program created by Congress in 2005, primarily at the urging of Jewish organizations concerned about anti-Semitic threats after the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks.
But several African-American ministers interviewed this week said they were unaware of that pool of money to help protect against attacks.
Active Shooter training is good for the citizens of America… of any religious persuasion. We’re just not sure that a member of CAIR should be doing it. With these guys there is ALWAYS an underlying agenda.
